Madonna laughs at Mariah’s ticket sales
Madonna reportedly laughed “hysterically” after being told her pop rival Mariah Carey had to cancel several tour dates due to poor ticket sales.
The ‘Hung Up’ singer is said to have gleefully welcomed the news that Mariah had to shelve a host of US shows because of a lack of interest.
A source told America’s New York Daily News newspaper: “Madonna laughed hysterically. She has been asking her tour promoters to email her Mariah’s sales.”
It is believed Madonna still holds a grudge against the ‘Butterfly’ singer because of something she said in an interview years ago.
The 47-year-old star is believed to be irked that Mariah, 36, once said she “grew up” listening to her music.
However, Madonna’s representative has denied that the two stars are feuding, saying: “She has no negative feelings toward Mariah.”
Mariah’s spokesperson has refuted reports the singer has cancelled her shows because of a lack of sales.
The representative said: “Her tour is selling well. She’s cancelled a few dates so she can add shows in larger cities.”

Madonna shouldn’t laugh at no one but herself, look at her sales for ‘Confessions’ in America, it is only gone Platinum with total sales of 1.46M. Obvously this is made up by the media, cause she would really be stupid to laugh, when both of her last albums flopped in America.

Mariah has actually sold 9 million and counting this year. Madonna is stuggling to break her own country. She’s just scraping above Erotica levels lol.

Madonna’s tours have always been successful, but in a few years she won’t have all that energy.. So she will have to rely on Album sales which has been terrible considering shes the best-selling female artist ever. Her albums are selling less than Britneys and Xtinas.
Madonna has never had any talent, but controversy thoughtout her career, she can be easily replaced, by nearest rival Britney.

Madonna is indeed the most succesfull female artist of all time.
Mariah sold pretty good worldwide in the beginning of her career, but now she’s just a local star.
Yes, the USA is the biggest market, but it can’t conquer with the rest of the world where Madonna without ANY doubt sells a whole lot more than Mariah will ever do.
Confessions on a dance floor has so far sold between 8-9 million copies worldwide, and those figures are facts. Mariah’s latest Emancipation of Mimi just sold between 1-2 million worldwide (not counting USA) and if we don’t count USA mean that Madonna’s latest sold about 6 million worldwide than Mariah’s.
There are two major reasons why Madonna don’t sell that good in the US anymore.
First of all the US radio is indeed boycotting her, the reason is unknown, but probably because of Madonna’s political views and that she is not afraid of expressing them.
The second reason is that R&B/HipHop dominates the US airplay in a way that is actually killing the US music scene.
I’m a big fan of R&B, trust me. But when a genre is being played 85% of the time on the big radio stations it’s getting a little too boring and kills originality in music.
Madonna was bold and made a dance oriented record, music that has little chance of being played alot on american pop radio.
And well, the fact is if radio is boycotting you plus not playing your music because of the genre you’re making offcourse it’s gonna be hard for you to reach out to people.
Still Madonna has sold to date about 1.5 million copies of Confessions.. in the US, without ANY support at all from US radio.
Mariah on the other hand did the obvious. She came out with an R&B album that fits excactly to what the radio programmers think should be played 85% of the time on US radio.
Personally I like both Mariah’s and Madonna’s latest albums, but I have to say that Madonna is defenetly the most bold one of the two.
And for that she has got the radio against her.
But she gives the pop music scene something different.
And like I wrote, it pays off. Her worldwide sales are very good and her worldwide radio airplay is a huge success. A success Mariah had 15 years ago, and Madonna still have.
But still, this story is so untrue, like I think most half-smart people can figure out.

What a Fantastic montage of NEW & OLD(reworked) Songs. I was drenched with sweat after. A great set of music! The dancers/slash/breakers/slash/skater were incredible. She and her dance troupe were right on and super amazing. I can hardley wait for the Staples Center!!! MADONNA ROCKS! Literally, she gets hard rock on Ray of light!

I can admit that Madonna has made a huge impact into the music buisness. But Mariah has even made a much bigger one. Does anyone remember the Fantasy Remix? That was HUGE! Mariah was the one that introduced Pop with a Hip Hop touch. Otherwise, we would have nothing, exept for just pop, hip-hop. Madonna should be ashamed of herself on three accounts.
1. Shes over 40, and she has like 2 kids. She should not be spreading her legs and acting like that, when she should be a rolemodel for people.
2. She is trying to take out every diva, one at a time, so that she could be on top again. She started with Mariah, cause she knows shes the most vulnerable. Shes probably going to go on with more.
3. She shouldn’t be talking about Mariah’s sails, until she actually beats Mariah. She only gets that many sails because she needs to her fans to pay her Alot of money to get in. Shes greedy.

So In conclusion, I still love Mariah most. I have about 6/14 of her albums. I hope I can get more!

Mariah carey isnt famous in Europe and Australia. KYLIE MINOGUE is the best selling music artist in Europe and Australia ever, even more than Madonna. Americans are stupid i dont get why KYLIE MINOGUE isnt big in america, whilst nasty boring singers like Mariah Carey are
