There is nothing different about this video. Females dancing in the sand on beach? Seen it b4. Females dancing seductively around males, dressed in panties? Seen it all b4. The only thing kinda different about thsi video is ice scene. Other than that it is just another typical Female R&B video
well actually, while this video does bite some visual vignettes from other past r&b videos, i really like the concept of it. shes been abducted and is being held in a dark, dank, moldy, concrete colored room - and through her interaction with her abducter she’s able to imagine herself in other worlds - when the ice drips down her back, she becomes a vivid snow princess, when the water hits her chest, shes on the beach, when her foot slides across the back of an animal - shes in the jungle. pretty high concept and certainly a deeper theme than just eye candy (is this a metaphor for the everyday woman, the working class, or perhaps marriage in general?). kudos to kelis for releasing a daring song (most of middle america will again fail to realize what it is she is actually saying) and a thinking mans video.
