   AMAZIN! all the performances were great. seems to me the album is gonna be real good! Im not a big fan of JoJo but these songs are really good! im not suprised her voice is even better than before and the beats of the songs are wicked! looks to me she worked with some great producers!

   WOW!!! I still have doubts if it was playback or if it was live, because she sang so well that I couldn’t tell the difference!!!
   The Way You Do Me and This Time are simply brilliant! The High Road shall be one of the best CDs of 2006!

   My little boo boo is growing up. I was impressed with not only the songs Jojo sang, but the growth in her vocals. I loved all of the songs, especially “How to touch a Girl.” Her voice was so beautiful and strong on that song. And when she sang Leave (get out) again, you could hear the growth in her voice. I’m excited for the new album and how she’ll sound in another 2 to 3 years because her voice is still changing. Love you Jojo.

   ^I’ve noticed her vocal growth as well. The performances were nice. I just think the material is alittle to old for her lol, but whateverLOL.

   I Agree with CandyMan, her material is a little to grown for a young teen like herself. I’ve noticed her vocal growth this girl is gonna be good when she’s a little older.

   On another note PLEASE DON’T HATE ON THIS. JoJO I swear to god looks like she could be Mariah Carey’s daughter hehe look at Mariah’s ‘daydream-era’ performaces on Youtube Mariah use to wear her hair the same damn way and they look VERY Alike. Theres a pic of them together and JoJo looks like her daughter hehe.

   The performances weren’t that bad, but they would have been better without the back-up singers. Her back-up singers have no singing talent so they wreck her songs. When JoJo was 13 and asked what sets her apart from the other artists she said, “Unlike [certain other singers] I actually have talent and I do sing live.” She chose her back-up singers herself. So why would someone that brags by saying that she has talent and other singers don’t choose back-up singers that have no singing talent at all? It makes no sense to me.

   Lyric-wise I do like all of the songs, I’m just not too fond of the way her voice sounds live, and how she adds all the “yeah”’s and other things. If she had done the songs without the layered vocals, unnecassary words, and didn’t use so much range (I mean notice how she trys to show off her range by going higher than she sounds good and lower than she sounds good? I just find it annoying and it lowers the quality of her music)then I would be a fan and she would definately be one of the top female solo singers out right now.

   Don’t get me wrong, overall I think the performances were okay, and I like the songs, I just don’t like the back-up singers or the way she chose to sing them.

   Please don’t hate me for saying that because it is my honest opinion. If she would change a few things she whas the makings of a great vocalist. I’ve seen music acts come and go, I’ve studied the musical trends, and I’ve watched some of the most talented and best music acts fade away. That is what’s going to happen to JoJo if she doesn’t stop using filler words, adding a bunch of “yeah”’s and “oh”’s when they aren’t needed (which they rarely are), and having untalented back-up. She has the makings of a real star if she used the right vocals and the right lyrics.

    “The Way You Do Me”!!!—how old is she? That song title is too suggestive for her age.

    I thought Jojo did a good job. I loved all the songs. Music Critic, did you just become interested in Jojo because of “Too Little Too Late”? Sorry you were disappointed, but Jojo sings both R&B and Pop songs. If you owned her debut album you would know this and wouldn’t have been so shocked by her performances. When she sings her R&B songs like “The Way you do me” and “This time”, she riffs alot and uses the fillers as you call them. She sings straighter with less riffing when she sings her pop songs like “TLTL” and “How to Touch a Girl”. But she’s still young and has time to develop her sound. She’s still much younger than all of the famous diva’s like Whitney, Mariah Carey, Celine and Christina Aguilera when they all debuted. P.S. I don’t count Christina’s “Just be free” as her debut because it was horrid.But she was 17 when she released her official debut Christina Aguilera.
