Christina Aguilera defends Paris Hilton’s music
Christina Aguilera has heaped praise on pop rival Paris Hilton for having the guts to try her hand at music. The hotel heiress released debut single Stars Are Blind earlier this year (06) and was panned by critics and musicians alike for the effort. However, Aguilera insists new artists are always “welcome” in the industry and doesn’t mind the competition. She says, “There are always going to be other records and other singers out there, and years from now I’m sure there’ll be the next Christina Aguilera coming up. “I welcome it. “I think it’s great that Paris goes for what she wants.”

Janet Jackson is set to top next week charts; hasn’t spoken to Timberlake
Janet Jackson is set to top the charts next week selling over 340-360k accoding to soundscan. Besides Janet’s chart-topping news, Janet Jackson hasn’t spoken to Justin Timberlake yet since the infamous Superbowl ‘nipplegate’ incident.
The two singers sparked outrage when Justin tore off part of Janet’s outfit to expose her pierced breast during their half-time performance and Janet admits she wants to discuss what happened with the ‘SexyBack’ star.
She told US chat show host Oprah Winfrey: “We haven’t spoken but I consider him a friend, and I’m very loyal, and friendship is very important to me. He has reached out to speak with me. Like I said, friendship is very important to me - and certain things you just don’t do to friends. In my own time, I’ll give him a call.”
Janet still has a bone to pick with Justin for not sticking up for her after the incident which was condemned across the US.
However, the 40-year-old singer admits she is still amazed the accident got so much attention.
She explained: “Many more important things were going on in the world. And the focus was on my breast? That didn’t make any sense to me.”

Joe Simpson defends daughter Jessica
After 18 months of did-they-or-didn’t they debate, Jackass Number Two star Bam Margera confirmed once and for all that he and Jessica Simpson did.
On Howard Stern’s September 19 Sirius radio show, the wild prankster, 27, confessed to Stern that on the night of April 11, 2005, then-married Simpson took him back to her parents’ home in Los Angeles’ Encino area: “We were just drinking margaritas and stuff, and you know, from there…” When Stern asked how Simpson looked naked, Margera told him, “She looked good.”
“Once,” he said, when asked by an Us reporter how many times he and Simpson had been intimate. “It was when her parents were away and Nick was away. It’s not a secret.”
How is Simpson’s camp taking the news? “As a father, I want to go beat the crap out of people who say things like this,” Jessica’s dad/manager, Joe, tells Us. “It really hurts to hear people say things like this about my daughter.”
Still, some of Margera’s raunchiness may have rubbed off on the 26-year-old single star. During a recent interview in Allure magazine, the former virgin bride wore a rooster pendant and joked, “I don’t have a c–k at the moment, so I wear one around my neck.”
