Stars Are Blind

Gwen Stefani will release her second solo album before the end of the year. “The Sweet Escape” is due Dec. 5 via Interscope and will be preceded by first single “Wind It Up,” produced by the Neptunes. The video will be directed by Sophie Muller.

The full track list has yet to be announced, but “The Sweet Escape” will also sport collaborations with Akon, Stefani’s No Doubt bandmate Tony Kanal, Keane’s Tim Rice-Oxley and producers Nellee Hooper, Sean Garrett, Swizz Beatz and Dave Stewart.

“This album is surprisingly different than the last one,” Stefani says in a statement. “I started recording it last year before [her son] Kingston was born and it’s definitely evolved over the last year. The dance sound is very ‘now.’ It’s modern … not so retro.”

Brooke Hogan performed “About Us” on TRL today with rapper Paul Wall (the only good song on her album). It wasn’t a bad performance though it was cut short by MTV. Brooke Hogan finally released her solo debut album ”Undiscovered” today 10/24.

Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls,” will release her debut solo album, due in early 2007.

Nicole has collaborated with a host of other big names for her album, including Akon, Polow Da Don, Sean Garrett, Kara DioGuardi (who wrote an Eden’s Crush song back in the day), Timbaland (who also got Nicole to sing on his upcoming album) and Will.I.Am.

Scherzinger’s hasn’t revealed too much on song details quite yet, but said some tracks date back to when the Dolls first finished their album and she got right back into the studio. And as for the burlesque dance troupe-turned-pop group, Nicole’s solo venture isn’t marking their end. The Pussycat Dolls are also continuing to push their debut, PCD, and just signed on to tour with Christina Aguilera.
