Plus beyonce’s 10 weeks on top of the charts, and her B’Day album reached 4xplatinum, and now she’ll re-release it with spanish songs, she’s gonna conquer the world. maybe some of you havent liked the song, it’s a kind of a song that to get used to, and then the addiction begins, super sexy video, smokin’ hot. am waiting for “upgrade U”, am sure it’a gonna be a sexy video, but am afraid “beautiful liar” will make upgrade U limited, or not famous, am afraid it’s gonna affect it negatively, i dont think releasing 2 videos at the same time is a great idea… but who knows, it might be a mega success.
This is the PERFECT example of Beyonce’s overexposure. She’s put out Deja Vu, Ring the Alarm, Irreplacable, Listen and now Beautiful Liar & Upgrade U within a matter of about 6 months. That’s like a song a month. Isn’t Get Me Bodied coming out soon? This is much too much. She’s gotta pace herself before she runs out of singles and irritates America with Beyonce overload. With Shakira she will reach a broader audience then by herself. She released Beautiful Liar to capture the pop/top40 market, and she released Upgrade U to appeal to the urban market. I think it’s a pretty smart move since she is re-releasing B’Day. Upgrade U will hopefully be popular on the Hip-Hop and R&B charts while Beautiful Liar dominates the Billboard 100.

I will answer your last question Larry! Shakira agreed for a couple of reasons.
1) Beyonce told the media about the duet before Shakira agreed. So she would come off badly if she didn’t.
2) Shakira might not know Beyonce has been copying her because you might not know this, but Beyonce isn’t very popular outside the US and Skaira spends most of her time in Europe and Latin America plus shes very busy.
3) Shakira might be flattered by Beyonce copying her.
4)Shakira would know how ridiculous Beyonce’s copying is and she knows Beyonce is no threat to her because the reality is that they are so different.
