US Airways plane crashes into Hudson River Photo: Long Island News
US Airways flight 1549, an Airbus A320 has crashed into the Hudson River. According to initial reports, a flock of birds caused the plane to crash earlier this afternoon (January 15). The crash is obviously still under investigation.
The plane, carrying 150 passengers was heading to Charlotte, North Carolina. The crew was listed as 2 crews and 3 flight attendants.
Miraculous, everyone one the plan survived the crashed. Several individuals are being treated for some injuries at local hospitals.
The New York Times said it was below 20 degrees in New York at the time the plane went down. Someone the plane managed to stay afloat and all passengers were able to board life boats.
