Today marks 50 years since that tragic plane crash when music lost, Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper (J.P. Richardson).

The Don McLean song, “American Pie” describes that day as ‘The Day the Music Died‘. Their plane crashed February 3, 1959 over Clear Lake, Iowa.

These 3 men have been immortalized in history in both movies and song.
