Danny Gokey, the 28 year old music teacher from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, stole our hearts during his audition! It was during that interview we learned that Danny’s wife has passed away, just 4 weeks before his American Idol opportunity.
Once you get past the tears, you are treated to an amazing, soulful voice that I hope will be one of the last people standing this season! Danny is going to be a contender this season and why not? Doesn’t he deserve a change of luck?
