Australian super couple Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have donated A$500,000 in order to the bushfire cause in their native country.
The couple appeared via satellite on a live television appeal to help raise money for the Red Cross. Nicole shared her grief of the people who struck by the disaster and Urban said that it was gut-wrenching to watch it all happen. “Our hearts go out tonight to all the families that are dealing with the loss of loved ones and having to rebuild their lives again,” Urban shared.
More than 180 people have died due to the fires, which broke out in the state of Victoria and more than 1,000 others have lost their homes.
Kidman added, “As Australians, I think the biggest thing is that no matter where you are in the world, we support each other and we rally. That’s why we wanted to show our support and we would like to donate A$500,000 on behalf of our family to the families that need it now.”
