Journalists, Laura Ling and Euna Lee have been sentenced to 12 years in a Labor Camp, by the North Korean government.
Laura Ling (Sister of Lisa Ling) and Euna Lee, entered illegally into North Korea while reporting for Al Gore’s Current TV.
After a 4-day trial the 2 reporters were found guilty today of “hostilities against the Korean nation and illegal entry.”
Euna Lee is married and has a 4 year old daughter. Laura Ling is married and does suffer from a medical condition that requires medicine.
The White House has released a statement, “We are deeply concerned.”
