
Long-time television personality, Ed McMahon has lost his battle with cancer.
Sidekick of Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show, host of Star Search and most recently the spokesman for Publisher’s Clearinghouse, Ed McMahon has been a fixture in American Popculture for over 50 years.
Ed had been battling bone cancer since a February 2009 hospital stay.
McMahon was a United States Marines fighter pilot, flying in both WWII as well as the Korean Conflict.
Ed is survived by his wife, Pam Hurn and his 5 living children, Linda McMahon, Jeffrey McMahon, Claudia McMahon, Katherine McMahon, Lex McMahon (Adopted after marrying Pam). He is preceeded in death by his son, Michael Edward McMahon.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the McMahon family this morning. Ed McMahon was 86 years old.
