TV Pitchman Billy Mays Autopsy report has been revealed. Billy suffered from hypertensive heart disease and the autopsy results showed Billy’s heart was heavier than normal and had an enlarged left ventricle, which characteristic of heart disease.
Billy Mays was taking prescribed painkillers (Tramadol and hydrocodone) for hip pain but there is no evidence that he was taking those in anything other than correct amounts.
As previously reported, Billy did suffer a hit to the head from a rough landing on a US Airways flight but there was no evidence of trauma to the head. Toxicology and tissues tests will take several weeks and only then an official cause of death can be announced.
