Guiding Light Star, Kim Zimmer, sat down with CBS news to discuss the end of Guiding Light’s 72 year run.

Kim, more affectionately known as Reva Shayne for 544 episodes of the Daytime Drama, talks about her friends and co-stars that she’ll miss.

Will you watch the final GL Episode? Kind of sad that there wasn’t anyway to work it all out.

I will miss this show more then I even know how to express. I watched this show with my mother who passed away 17 years ago, and have been watching with my children for aleast that long. I already feel a hugh void in my life and it hasnt even gone off yet. If there is any way to save this show it should be done .This show has the best actors and actresses on tv . I have enjoyed watching all of them best of luck to each and every one of them.

I cannot believe that there will be no more Guiding Light. I remember my grandma watching it when I was like 5 and telling me it was an adult show. I think that is why I got hooked on it. I DVR it everyday and watch it after work. I am going to be SOOO lost. It is so unbelievable; I don’t think that I can even express the sadness that I feel. WHY!!! Is there someone we can talk to and change their mind?!?

Four generations of my family have watched Guiding Light. Josh was our knight in shinning armour, Reva was our voice, she had the guts to say what we couldn’t, Buzz and family like our family with hopes, dreams, heartache and happiness. We shared and felt it also. Company was the gathering place. The Lewiss, Shanes, Coopers,They all were our family. We saw so much of our family within them. I feel like a death has occurred within the family and they will truly, truly be greatly missed.

I started missing this show even before it went off the air, it started when they announced that it was ending in Sept. That is when I started to mourn it. I have watched it almost my whole married life which is 37 years. I wished they took off another one instead, this is my favorite soap. I still do not know what happened to Jeffery and Edmund, that story line was not tied up. Are we supposed to believe he continues to follow Edmund and forgets about Reva and Colin?? Not a good ending!! Why doesn’t Jonathan tell Reva before she runs off with Josh.Just too many things could have happened to continue the story line if CBS wanted to keep it.
