Is there more trouble in Ann Arbor? This weekend reports came out of the Detroit Free Press, from former players claiming that Rodriguez and his staff had violated NCAA Rules regarindg practice. In the press conference Rodriguez said:
“We completely complied by the rules, the hours and all that, always have and always will. Again, you must understand, again, it was misleading. Sometimes the players, when you ask them about hours, and understand the treatments, the medical treatments do not count, study hall does not count, other aspects of the hours do not count toward your hours allowance.”
“I guess the thing that bothered me the most about the things that were recently written or said, or maybe some things in the last 18 months, is the perception that’s out there that we did not care as much for our players’ welfare and that is disheartening. To say that is misleading, inaccurate and goes against everything that I have ever believed in coaching.”
Hmmm….Could be another long season for The Wolverines.
