Just announced, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil will host the 2016 Summer Olympic Games.
As previously speculated, Rio was the leading candidate as an Olympiad hasn’t been previously held in South America. According to the IOC, Rio was selected in part for it’s Natural beauty. Rio de Janeiro remains one of the most physically beautiful cities on earth. this could be some of the best beach views in Olympic Sports history!
Congrats to Rio! What a party that’s going to be!
