Here’s the latest update on the David Letterman extortion scandal.
We have learned that the ‘affair’ Dave is allegedly being blackmailed for was with his long-time assistant, Stephanie Birkitt. The affair ended nearly 6 years ago, however Dave has been romantically linked to his now wife, Regina Flasko for 23 years.
Robert “Joe” Halderman, a producer for 48 hours, was in a live-in relationship with Birkett. Upon their recent separation, Halderman got his hands on a diary belonging to Birkitt, which revealed the detail of the affair with her boss, David Letterman.
Dave did admit to the relationship during his show last night. .
