Herta Müller, has taken hom the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize in Literature. Ms. Müller said in a statememt released this morning, “I am very surprised and still cannot believe it,” “I can’t say anything more at the moment.”
Her works depicting the harsh conditions of life in Communist Romania under the repressive Nicolae Ceau?escu regime.
