Cole Hamels may have been shelled during the Phillies/Rockies game, his wife Heidi was busy giving birth.
Heidi Strobel Hamels, a former reality TV star from the Survivor series, and Cole were expecting their 1st child. Shortly after the game began last night, a text message was sent to the Philadelphia Phillies clubhouse manager, Frank Coppenbarger, that Heidi had gone into labor and asking that Cole be told after he was done pitching. After giving up 4 runs in 5 innings Hamels was pulled and then was told of Heidi’s delivery.
The Phillies may have lost the game but I’m sure Baby Hamels is beautiful!
