White House spokesman Robert Gibb has announced that President Obama will donate the $1.4 Million prize from his Nobel Award to charity.

“I do not feel that I deserve to be in the company of so many transformative figures that have been honored by this prize,” the President said. “I will accept this award as a call to action, a call for all nations to confront the challenges of the 21st century.”

The award caught many off guard this morning when it was announced. The President even thought staffers were joking when they told him the news.

The lucky recipients of the donations haven’t been announced at this time.
