Move over Plaxico Burress…you could have a new roomie! Rapper, Lil Wayne, pled guilty this morning (October 22) in a Manhattan courtroom on a felony gun possession charge.
Following his first headlining concert in New York back in 2007, Wayne was arrested for packing a weapon. Offering up a deal for less jail time, Wayne informed the court this morning that he would be pleading guilty. More than likely he will be sentenced to one year in prison. According to testimony he was carrying a “A.40-caliber semi-automatic.”
Lil’ Wayne will be sentenced in February of 2010 and is expected to serve eight months, assuming good behavior.
