According to Good Morning America, the British stroller brand of Maclaren is issuing a massive stroller recall. The exact models haven’t been announced but according to sorces, the recall stems from dozens of children’s fingertips getting amputated in a hinge on the strollers.
The hinge is on the side of the strollers and there have been incidents with children getting into the strollers as well as when they’re already seated. The Consumer Product Safety Commission is advising parents to immediately stop using their Maclaren strollers until they can get a repair kit. Maclaren will be providing a hinge cover via its Web ite and a special phone line beginning tomorrow.
Wow….you think we you thrown down that kind of money for a Maclaren that you wouldn’t have to worry about a recall like this. No word on the exact models yet but it does affect stroller manufactured between 1999 – present.
