The wife of former Dallas Cowboys star, Jay Novacek, LeAnne Novacek, was found dead in a bedroom today in Burleson, Texas. LeAnne’s body was discovered in a bedroom at her mother’s home, by a family member.
The 911 call was made by a family member at 8:37am. LeAnne reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot would but no suicide note found in the home. An autopsy will be performed on Tuesday and the police investigation is ongoing.
Jay played six seasons with the Cowboys in the 1990s and ranks ninth in team history with 3,576 career receiving yards. He recorded five Pro Bowl berths in his career and was part of three Super Bowl-winning teams. The have been living in the Dallas area since his retirement in 1997.
