‘Couples Retreat’ Trailer

Kristen Bell, Jason Bateman, Vince Vaughn and Malin Akerman all star in the upcoming romantic comedy, Couples Retreat. The film is about four couples who decide to embark on a couples retreat to help put the spice back in their marriages.

‘Couples Retreat’ premieres on October 9th.

Denzel stars as, Walter Garber, a NYC subway dispatcher who’s day is thrown for a loop when Ryder, played by John Travolta, leads a gang in a hijacking of a subway train.

Anne Hathaway to portray Judy Garland

Hold on to your ruby slippers, Anne Hathaway has been offered the role of a lifetime!

According to reports. Anne has been offered the role of Judy Garland in the film version of Gerald Clark’s 2001 book Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland.

Harvey Weinstein said, “We are thrilled to have the brilliantly talented Anne Hathaway portray stage and screen legend Judy Garland. I have worked with Anne on projects in the past and have known her for many years. She will be a true class act in this challenging role.”

What do you think about Anne playing Judy Garland? Personally, I don’t think it’s a good fit but what do I know?

Judd Apatow, the comedic genius behind, Knocked-Up and The 40 Year Old Virgin, is set to make us laugh all over again with his summer comedy, Funny People. The movie stars Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, Eric Bana and Leslie Mann.

When comedian George Simmons (played by Adam Sandler) learns that he has a terminal health condition, he tries to make some better friends to help give his life more meaning. In the spirit of meeting new people, Simmons decides to take a new performer under his wing and put him as his opening act.

New ‘Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus’ Poster

This new promo from the film, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, has been released. The film, which is set to hit US theaters in September, stars Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Colin Farrell and the late Heath Ledger.

The film is about the leader of a traveling theatre troupe, Dr. Parnassus, which takes audience members through a magical mirror to explore their imaginations. Depp, Law, Farrell, and Ledger all portray the character of Tony, while Dr. Parnassus will be portrayed by acting giant Christopher Plummer.

The film will be released September 24th in the US, and June 6th in the UK.

I’m not exactly sure why they keep making these movies but I guess the bonus is that both Paul Walker and Vin Diesel are in the movie.

Movie in the works about Judy Garland’s life

Reportedly there is a movie in the works portraying the tragic life of Hollywood legend Judy Garland.

Harvey Weinstein’s company has acquired the rights to Gerald Clarke’s 2000 biography Get Happy: The Life of Judy Garland.

The book chronicles the one-time child star’s lifelong struggle with drugs and alcohol and series of failed marriages.

Judy Garland died of an accidental overdose in 1969 at the young age of 47.

Who do you think should play Judy in this movie? They have to be able to sing and act!
