Q magazine launching a unique publishing event in theUK on Sepetember 30. On that date Q publishes will release it’s 20th anniversary issue - which will feature 20 separate cover stars, each one a musical icon, and each one exclusively photographed and interviewed for Q.

The 20 stars that have given exclusive shoots and interviews are Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Madonna, Noel Gallagher, Pete Townshend, Paul Weller, Damon Albarn, Britney Spears, Dave Grohl, Dido, David Gilmour, Ian Brown, Keith Richards, Michael Stipe, Jimmy Page, Johnny Borrell, Kate Bush, Beyonce, Richard Ashcroft and U2.

Teen singer breaks off engagement

No marriage bells for Pop singer Aaron Carter has broken off his engagement to his older brother’s ex.The 18-year-old teen idol called off his engagement to 22-year-old actress Kari Ann Peniche just a week after he proposed onstage in Las Vegas, Us Weekly reported on its Web site Sunday.

Peniche is an ex-girlfriend of Carter’s older brother, Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter, 26. She’s also a former Miss Teen USA and former Playboy Playmate.

“I got caught up in the moment and proposed,” the younger Carter told the magazine. “I then realized it was a hasty thing to do and I am not ready for marriage quite yet.”

Attempts by The Associated Press to reach a representative for Carter were not immediately successful Monday.

Both brothers will appear in the upcoming reality series “House of Carters” on the E! network.

Avril Lavinge Makes Up-beat album

Avril Larvinge is working on a new upbeat album. Lavigne said she’s almost finished working on the album, for which she’s written 15 songs — collaborating with Deryck on the more rock-leaning material.

“I’ve got to say, this record is going to be so much fun. It’s really upbeat. I have a few love songs — it’s so funny,” she said, giggling. “Of course, I still have my boy-bashing songs, but they’re very playful. So the record is really fun and cool and different, and honestly I think it’s my best record yet. I can say that with confidence.”

Aside from Whibley, collaborators on the album include Rob Cavallo (Green Day), Dr. Luke (Kelly Clarkson) and a return engagement with Butch Walker (see “Butch Walker Works With Avril, Hot Hot Heat, Says Solo LP Won’t Be ‘Emo-Tastic’ “).

“I’m doing my ballads with Rob Cavallo, I give my pop-rock songs to Butch, I give my rock songs to Deryck, and Luke has been experimenting with different sounds and stuff,” she said.

Diddy - Press Play

A year in the making, Press Play finds Diddy joined by a who’s who of contemporary artists and producers. Among the guest performers are: Christina Aguilera is featured on the second single Tell Me, Mary J. Blige, Jamie Foxx, Big Boi, Brandi, Keyshia Cole, Nas, Fergie, Avant, and Pharoah Monch. Diddy was joined on the production side by the likes of Kanye West, Just Blaze, Pharrell Williams, Havoc from Mobb Deep, Will.I.Am, Rich Harrison, among others.
