Later the 27-year-old singer got back on stage to peform ‘Me and Bobby McGee’ made famous by Janis Joplin, but written by Kris Kristofferson.
Justin Timberlake and Pink are among the stars who have secretly been reaching out to show their support to Britney Spears as the pop singer battles substance abuse in rehab.
Friends claim Timberlake left a personal message for his ex-girlfriend after calling the Promises treatment center in Malibu, California, last week.
A pal tells Life & Style magazine, “He wished her the best and told her to get healthy and come back as the Britney he knew.”
And Timberlake has asked Spears’ mother Lynn to keep him updated with the “Toxic” singer’s progress.
Pink and Mary J. Blige have also called Promises to leave messages for Spears, who under the center’s rules, isn’t allowed to receive phone calls during her stay.
After spending much of 2006 touring to promote her latest album, ‘I’m Not Dead Yet’, Pink basked in the glory of her success on the beaches of Miami yesterday.
Rocking a skull-printed bikini top, rolled up velour jogging pants and her trademark tatts, the ultra toned 27-year-old star was sans hubby Cary Hart, who is was busy in Las Vegas shooting Season 2 of his hit A&E reality series, ‘Inked.’
